It is with sadness we announce the passing of Carl Leonard Smith on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in his 81st year. Predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Gail, not a year ago. Beloved father to Andrea (Scott) and grandpa to Matthew and Owen. Brother to Reginald (Suzanne) and Joyce (Hal) both predeceased, as well as Wallace (Anne) and John (Jacqueline). Loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.When not golfing or enjoying a drive in his classic mustangs, Carl could be found tinkering in his woodshop. Carl liked to keep busy and after his retirement he began volunteering with a few different organizations in the Waterdown area. He was always a quiet man but had a quick wit and a sarcastic sense of humour.
Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12 noon until the start of a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. followed with a reception in the funeral home family centre.
