It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Williams Douglas “Doug” Williams, of Waterdown, Ontario, on September 18, 2025, at the age of 63.
Born in Welland, Ontario, on June 22, 1962, Doug graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Economics. He will be remembered for his love of sailing, his talent with the guitar, and his enthusiasm for watching sports and CNN. Doug also loved to cook and brought laughter and warmth to every gathering with his good humour. Always dependable, he was the one friends and family could count on—whether for a helping hand or a late-night airport pick-up.
Doug is survived by his partner, Anne; his children, Jane (Karli) and Tom; his stepdaughters, Holly (Tyler) and Sophie(Sean); his mother, Elizabeth Williams (née Hill); and his sisters, Carol, Deb, Sandy, and Liz. He was predeceased by his father, Doug Williams.
Doug will be deeply missed, but his kindness, laughter, and love for life will live on in the memories of those who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. As per Doug’s wishes, his family will honour him privately.
