WRIGHT, Bruce Henry Wright

Passed from life to life eternal on August 9th, 2026. He will be greatly missed by his Beloved Carol (Gross), his sister Nancy Purvis, his children and stepchildren: Ariel Wright (Doc), Corinne Wright, Dan Hughesman (Merinda), Christopher Hughesman (Carolyn), Donald Hughesman (Tara), and grandchildren: Juniper, Cora, Nakita, Nathaniel, Trinity, Cody, Anthony, Austin, Zadok, Jamison & Cameron, great grandchildren: Miley, Ava, Alex, Berkeley, Noah, Maverick, Leland, Riley, Abigail and Ryder, nephew David, niece Nicole & grandniece Laurel and his cuddle buddy Buggsie. Bruce will also be missed by Daisy Oliver and her partner Michael.

Bruce Henry Wright retired from Neighbourhood Legal Services in 2011 after suffering a stroke. He truly loved being a lawyer helping people with disabilities live their lives with dignity. Bruce was a gifted listener. He enjoyed his travel adventures with Carol, Tai Chi, Tiley hats, cheering for Team Canada, the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs. Thanks to Anne S. & Lois W. for starting a programme which gave his retired life much meaning. A special thanks to the PSWs who came into our home to give him care these last 6 years. In lieu of flowers, in keeping with Bruce’s philosophy of life, please make a donation to HTSSM’s Rector’s Discretionary Fund or St. Paul’s Food Bank.

Cremation has taken place. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Prayers will be held at 7:45pm. Memorial Service to celebrate a life worth living will be held at Christ Church Glanworth, 3424 Glanworth Drive, London on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 2:00pm, with reception following. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery Glanworth for family and close friends.
