YANTHA, Joanne Yantha

It is with heavy hearts, we announce Joanne’s peaceful passing at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the age of 63 years.

Joanne Yantha-Leckie of Petawawa, wife of Phillip Leckie, the late Alan Kuhlmann, and Harland Fraser. Joanne loved her children: George Yantha, the late Bobbi-Lee Fraser and the late Kathleen Fraser. Daughter of the late Emmett Yantha and the late Brenda Yantha (nee Kuehl). Sister of Pat Kaufman (Bill), the late Donna Yantha, Greg Yantha (Colette), and Owen Yantha. Remembered by long-time family friend David Smith, and several nieces & nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. with a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. A family gathering will follow at Joe’s house, 31703 HWY 17, Chalk River. Interment of ashes in Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery, Killaloe on Monday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m.

Joanne lived a life full of love, giving and cherished memories – all while navigating her personal struggles with mental and physical health. In her memory, donations to the Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre would be appreciated.
