Peters DoreenPETERS, Doreen   - February 13, 1931 - June 13, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen (Bubbles), at Westshore Village Retirement Living, Port Perry.

Beloved daughter of the late William and Sarah Hurding.

High school sweetheart and devoted wife of the late Michael Peters for 64 years.

Cherished mother of Jim (Penny), Susan (Robert), Patricia (Paul), Michelle (Cindy), and Rochelle.

Much-loved "Gramma/Nana" of Christopher (Mel), Danielle (Carlos), Matthew (Michelle), Rebeca (Alex), Reilly (Mel), Kelly (Neil), Drew (Tori), Justin (Amy), Joshua (Ainslee), Chelsea (Aidan), Blake, Sarah, Joshua, and so very proud "Great-Gramma/Nana" to Hendrix, Nella and Theo.

Growing up in Cabbagetown, Doreen was married to Michael Peters at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Regent Park.

Doreen began her career as a Bookkeeper at the Red Cross, and continued to fill that role for the majority of her working career supporting her husband in a number of family run businesses, most notably, Yorkdowns Garden Centre in Unionville from 1982 to 2014.

She loved James Taylor, Carole King, Fleetwood Mac, and to read. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Bobcaygeon, going to Florida with Michael and her numerous trips to Mexico in recent years with her son, Jim.

Doreen will be buried at St. James Cemetery alongside her beloved husband on Saturday, June 25th, surrounded by her loving family.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Charity of Your Choice in honour of Doreen.
