HILL, Michael Thomas - March 15, 1947 - August 3, 2022
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that the family of Michael T. Hill, of Thornbury, ON, announce his sudden death on August 3rd, while travelling home from Bluffton, SC.
Michael was a loving husband and best friend of wife, Cheryl.
A proud father of Darren, (Nicky) of Craigleith, ON and loving "Papa" to Kate and Mason.
Loved and cherished by his sister, Patricia/Patsy (Chad) Humphrey and brother-in-law, Randy Ward (the late Carol Ward).
Michael was a pillar in the Canadian Pool and Spa Industry, a founding father of the industry it has become today.
He touched many from all over North America and was admired for his work ethic, tenacity and that infectious smile. While Michael will be remembered and loved by his wife, family and friends for so many special qualities, his quick wit and humour best reflect the essence of the man.
His love of travel, especially with wife Cheryl, as they have visited and enjoyed 6 continents together (Antarctica was too cold for Mom).
Golf with his buddies, whether in Canada or the US, provided hours of pleasure or torture depending on what end of his excellent short game you were on.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Michael in the coming weeks.
