BARNES, Jean Katherine Barnes - Of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home, on September 20, 2022, following a long battle with cancer.
Jean was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Barnes. May they be reunited now.
Jean is survived by her dear brothers, Dave Lester, Steve Lester and Tony Lester; her loving nephews, Amory Lester and Steve Foreman; her cherished niece, Katherine Pike; and her family in Newfoundland, including Eldred (Junior) Barnes and Lois Long.
Jean will be greatly missed by her soul sisters, Trudi and Shehnaz, who were also her incredible caregivers.
Jean was a loving, giving, understanding, kind soul with incredible bravery and inner strength.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an avid gardener, and loved travelling.
Jean was the rock of the family and a role model for the younger generation.
At Jean's request, there will not be a service, however, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by Jean's Family.
