Jervis JohnJERVIS, John David   -  It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, John David Jervis, who passed away peacefully, at the age of 80 on January 16, 2023.

He was given just hours to live, but refused to leave us for nearly two weeks.

A testament to the remarkable strength and stubbornness that made him the man we love.

A proud Canadian with a deep appreciation for classic cars and simpler times, he is survived proudly and forever loved by his children, John Jr., David, Caryn, Kevin and Kim.

He also leaves behind to mourn his stepchildren, his grandchild and step grandchildren, his siblings, his nieces and nephews, and his many friends.

His playful sense of humour brought laughs and smiles to the faces of everyone who knew him, and his unabashed approach to life meant he made friends wherever he went. John found happiness in life's simplest pleasures; a cup of coffee, a game of hockey, a good chat and of course, a nice dessert.

He took great pride in helping his family and friends, and will always be remembered for his big heart, his laughter, and his young and kind spirit.

A visitation will take place on January 20, 2023, at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home (2241 New Street, Burlington) from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A ceremony will take place at 12:00 p.m., with interment to follow in Oakville.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.

"To know him was to love him. John Jervis will be sorely missed but never forgotten."
