PICCININ, Angela (nee FAVA) - Passed away peacefully, at her home, on March 7, 2023, in her 97th year.
Beloved wife of the late Raimondo Piccinin.
Loving mother to Dino (Sharon) and Mario (Mary). Cherished Nonna of Daniel, Laura (Brad), Rebecca (Ali), and Christina.
Proud Bisnonna to Robert, Timothy, Angelina and Luke. Born in Pasiano di Pordenone, Italy, on September 25, 1926, she married Raimondo in 1950 and joined him in Canada with their young son in 1956.
She was a woman of great strength and great faith, and will fondly be remembered by her family and friends as someone who was passionate about her Italian heritage and spreading that through her love of cooking and food.
Spoiling her grandchildren was the highlight of her life, and she was fortunate to have the wonderful support of so many lifelong friends. Her last years at home were made possible by her extraordinary caregivers and medical team, and the family is eternally grateful for their love, compassion and support.
Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home (2035 Weston Rd.), on Sunday, March 12th, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church (117 Guestville Ave.), on Monday, March 13th, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice or St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care.
