PENDERGAST, Paul - It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Paul Pendergast.
Paul passed away of a heart attack at his residence in West Vancouver on February 19, 2024, at the age of 68.
He is survived by his two sisters, Anne and Mary (Steve); and his brother, Brian (Eleanor).
Paul was predeceased by his brother, John; and his parents, Jack and Marie Pendergast.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Paul lived and worked in Georgetown and Toronto before retiring.
Paul then spent the last 21 years living in and enjoying West Vancouver.
Paul was a dedicated history researcher and a fervent advocate against injustice.
He had a great love for the outdoors and cherished spending time with his numerous nieces and nephews. Known affectionately as a superstar uncle and great-uncle, Paul was always generous and ready to extend a helping hand.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, which has surely made the world a better place. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his extensive family.
A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held in Meaford, Ontario, this upcoming summer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Charity of Your Choice would be greatly appreciated.
