Farewell Nana! It is with immense love and sadness, we say goodbye to Margaret McLafferty (O’Hara), an icon in our family.
Margaret was born on September 13, 1918 in Barrow-in-Furness, England. She became a nurse and worked at the Lancashire Military Hospital during World War II. She met Hugh McLafferty and they married on February 10, 1945. Together they had five children: Jean, Michael, Anne, Denise & Helen. They emigrated to Canada in February, 1956.

KOSOVICS, Kornel - Passed away on October 14, 2020, at Scarborough General Hospital, at the age of 78, following a lengthy battle with COPD.
Kornel will be dearly missed by Phyllis, his best friend and beloved wife of 54 years.

Kornel was a quiet, kind, humble and gentle soul, who only saw the best in people.
As a member of the Toronto Multihull Cruising Club for over 25 years, Kornel was in his element working on his catamaran and sailing on different adventures with Phyllis.

ANDONOVSKY, Jordan 'George' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jordan Andonovsky, known to all as George, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 87.
He was born in Carev Dvor (Цaрeв Двор), Macedonia, and came to Canada in the late 1950’s. His life was as varied as it was long.
After serving in the Yugoslavian army, he worked in various kitchens upon arrival in Canada, and retired as a metal worker from Canada Metal in Toronto.

Born in Gabresh, Kastoria, Macedonia, on April 6, 1925, to the late Trika and Staso Dimitroff.
Mom passed away peacefully, at the age of 95.
Mom was very much a lady who was predeceased by her beloved husband Chris (Stavros) in 2008. Loving, cherished mother to Frances (Keith), Katherine (Larry) and Steven (Katherine).
Devoted Baba to Kasha, Kristina (Jason), Christopher, David and Jessica (Ben).

LECKIE, Ellen Sarah 'Helen' (nee McANULTY) - In her 99th year, Helen has gone to join her much loved husband Edgar (deceased 1988), her two sons and her many siblings and friends.
Helen was a devoted mother to Dan (deceased 1998), Jim (deceased 2016), Jane, Judy and Stephen and loving mother-in-law to Bob Head, Jim Franks, Karen Blair, Vanda Dell'Agnese, Margaret Fyfe and John Hodkinson.

MOORE, E. Darby - On Wednesday, October 14, 2020 after a short recovery following heart surgery, E. Darby Moore, age 82, of Collingwood passed away.
Predeceased by his parents Harry E. (1975) and M. Adele (1985) Moore.
Survived by his brother Bill (Yvette) Moore and sister Mary (Earl) Moore.
Special uncle to David (Tracy) Moore, Denise (Justin) Reja, Christine (Tom) Delay.
Since his retirement, Darby thoroughly enjoyed golfing, skiing and volunteering throughout the community.

COLTART, Katherine, CND, - Passed away peacefully at Residence Bon-Secours, Montreal, on October 14, 2020.
Born in Hamilton, ON, Katherine was the daughter of the late John Coltart and Gladys McCallum. She will be greatly missed by her twin sister Marjorie Randal and her cherished nephews and nieces, her CND family and many good friends.
After a 35-year career as teacher and school principal in the Hamilton area, Katherine entered the Congregation of Notre Dame and made her religious profession in 1990.
She taught in several schools in the Montreal area, eventually becoming a pastoral animator in the schools.

EVANS, Douglas Charles - Douglas Charles Evans, 91, passed peacefully on October 14, 2020.
He leaves the love of his life, Mary, after 67 years of marriage. He was predeceased by his son Gary and son-in-law, Greg Moore. He leaves his children Rick (Carolyn), Susan Moore, Brian (Debbie) and his daughter-in-law, Donna.
A cherished grandfather to Daniel (Stephanie), Nicholas, Brandon (Ashley), Jordan, Courtney (Matthew), Caitlin, Garrett, Christopher (Eduarda), Corey (Chantelle), Jesse and a great-grandfather to six.
Doug left northern Ontario in 1966 with family in tow for Brampton where in short order he established his business, Credit Valley Insurance, a predecessor to CCV Insurance which continues to this day in downtown Brampton.

Helen was born in Grand Bank Newfoundland in 1930.
She became a nurse and travelled cross-country.

McGUIGAN, Patrick 'Paddy' - Patrick McGuigan, 87, of Mississauga, passed away on October 14, 2020 peacefully at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean (née McCready) and four children, Patricia Canning, David, Martin and Kevin McGuigan.
Patrick was the proud grandfather to 7 grandkids, great grandfather to 14 and great-great grandfather to 2.

PETERSONS, Aivars - It is with great sadness we announce that Aivars passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack on Wednesday October 14, 2020. He was 65 years young.
He was born on December 18, 1954 in Malartic, Quebec. His parents, Vilis Petersons and Rita Runcmanis, emigrated from Latvia, and he grew up in the mining towns of Sudbury and Elliot Lake with his sister Benita.
In high school, he graduated top of his class in math and sciences. Aivars attended the University of Waterloo for Computer Science before switching to Geology.

Jim is survived by Moira, wife of 54 years, daughter Margot (Darren), son Sandy (Donna), grandchildren Katelyn, John, Lauren and William.
Jim leaves behind siblings Jean (Lee), Bob (Judy), and Nancy (Dick), many nieces and nephews and an extended family who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by siblings Helen, Ann and Kathy.
He will be missed by his best buddy Rudy.
