Ennis ChristopherENNIS, Christopher Hyde  - 1941 - 2018  Chris died of cancer, peacefully at his home on August 25, 2018.

While he battled cancer for a few short months, his hardest battle was living without his beloved Liz who passed away a year ago.

They shared 47 years of happy marriage. He leaves behind his sisters Madeleine (Terry) and Corinne (Lino), sisters-in-law Miriam (John), Pauline (Neil), and brothers-in-law Roland (Sharon) and John (Wilma).

He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces on both sides of the family.

Chris was a proud Englishman who loved his soccer (football) and auto racing. He had so many fascinating stories to tell from his amateur racing career and would jump at the opportunity to tell them.

He was detailed and particular which bode well for his career in graphic arts. He was also a great amateur writer and leaves behind many stories and poems. He loved his many cats over the years (Bertie, Agatha, Buster and George) and was adamant he would spend his final days at home with George, which he did.

Most of all he loved Elizabeth and missed her dearly after her passing.

There will be a short ceremony in London at Robin's Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside Liz. It is a small, peaceful place surrounded by farmland.

The grave is in the shade of a Maple tree and the loudest sound is that of a bird song.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
