MORRA, Rocchina - It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you that our beloved mother passed on October 3, 2018.
This world lost a great one, as heaven called for another Angel,
Rocchina Morra, sadly passed away, but she put up a valiant fight battling dementia for over 8 years.
At the gates, God will welcome her, along with our father, Fiorenzo. Together they will dance and laugh and both of them will guide us as we continue their legacy- with heavy hearts, but with countless memories!
Mom now joins her mother Filomena (who passed away 51 years ago on the same day) and father, Pasquale in paradise- how they are welcoming her-we are sure with a feast! There, she will reunite with her 4 siblings as well: Carmelo, Agata(Giovanni),Anna(Giovanni and Michelina (Antonio).
Her memories and legacy will be cherished by her loving three children Roccantonio, Pasquale and Angela (Gino);Nonna to Robert(Katherine), Joseph(Nina), Fiorenzo, Nicholas and Steven; great grandmother to Joseph and Viola. And her only surviving sibling, Leonarda(Rocco).
While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. But even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain, and we ask you to keep those memories alive by sharing them with me and with one another.
Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on October 4th from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM and on October 5th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral mass will take place at St. Lawrence The Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 2210 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto on October6th at 11:30 AM. Entombment at Toronto. A reception will follow.
