COADY, John Bruce  -  September 15, 1936 - October 3, 2018

With broken hearts our family announce the passing of John Bruce Coady in his 83rd year at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg.

Loving husband and best friend of Nora (Drummond) for 57 years.

Proud father of John (Joyce) of San Antonio, Texas, Stephen of Cobourg and Tom of Newmarket.

Predeceased by his youngest son Brian (2014).

He will be especially missed by his little dog Lexus who he loved to walk with every day. Cherished grandfather of Kara, Jordyn, Kristin and Luke. Special great-grandfather to Amelia (Millie). Will be missed by his sister Clare (Jim Gaughan). Predeceased by his sister Denise (2014). Also missed by his brothers Michael (Patricia), Peter (Denise), Paul (Mary) and Mark (Susan). Bruce enjoyed a 38-year career with Bell Canada which included his 8 years in Saudi Arabia.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Trisha Rys and the Palliative Care team at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their exceptional care.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Cobourg (corner of Division and University) on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow at The Mill Restaurant, 990 Ontario Street, Cobourg. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by our family.
