KALICH, Jeanne (nee Gula) - Born April 30, 1932, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Toronto and only after her 4 children were gathered together around her: Joanna (Ross) Pugsley, Marianne Kalich, John (Sharon) Kalich, and Laura (Phillip) Hawke.
She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Jessica (Dario) and their children Liam and Amelia, Sarah (David), Renee (Michael), and William (Jolene) and their daughter Rylen; Shade, Andrew, and Heather (Joe); Angela; and Felix and Milo.
She was married to her beloved husband Steve (d. 1996) for 42 years.
She leaves behind her brother Joseph (Tadz) Gula, nieces, nephews and many lifelong and new-found friends.
She was truly one of a kind with a strong Catholic faith, amazing generosity and above all, fierce love for her family. She will remain forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be at Turner and Porter, Yorke Chapel; 2357 Bloor St. W. on Thursday, January 3 from 2 – 4 pm. The funeral will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Church; 3055 Bloor St. W. on Friday, January 4 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Dickson Rd, Mississauga) to follow the reception.
