Fawcett GerryFAWCETT, Gerald Sydney 'Gerry'It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald Sydney Fawcett announces his passing after a brief illness.

Gerald Sydney Fawcett, 88, born on March 26th, 1931, died Friday, September 13th, 2019 at North York General hospital following a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of over 50 years, Audrey (nee Jordan) Fawcett; son Paul T. Fawcett (Erica), and grandchildren Bailey and Declan Fawcett.

His daughter Cheryl Ann Fawcett and sister Shirley Jenkins and brother-in-law Graham Jenkins predeceased him.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, the son of Aubrey Macindoo and Irene (nee Heagle) Fawcett, he lived in various locations in Ontario throughout his life, most recently Alliston, Ontario.

After graduating from Western University in London, Ontario, Gerry had a long successful career with British Petroleum (BP), and Petro Canada. He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his career.

Gerry had a passion for golf, and upon retiring located to HorseShoe Valley and later Alliston. He was an avid sports fan, reader, and enjoyed travelling during retirement. He was known to his neighbours as always being amicable and friendly. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Audrey.

Visitation at Kane-Jerrett funeral home, 6191 Yonge St., Toronto on November 9th from 1:30 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life begins at 2:00 p.m.
