TAYLOR, Captain Douglas 'Doug' Allan, Commodore of Algoma Fleet A.K.A. "The Legend" -
Doug was born in Toronto, Ontario on July 25, 1947 and passed away peacefully in Newmarket, Ontario on October 23, 2019.
Doug, beloved husband of Penny of Aurora, and loving father to Lorna and her husband Paul Williams, and Chris (Jaime). Cherished grandfather of Taylor, Matthew, the late Emily, Avery, Hazen, and Addison.
Doug had retired from Algoma Central Corporation where he had been a Captain of many ships.
A Funeral service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora on Monday October 28th at 11am. Reception to follow.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
