Chung Hee Fa EileenCHUNG, Hee Fa 'Eileen' - (1938 - 2020) - It is with great sadness that the family announces that Hee Fa (Eileen) Chung, aged 82, went home to Jesus our Saviour on April 7, 2020 at the North York General Hospital, after battling pancreatic cancer.

Eileen was born in 1938, Mei Zhou, GuangDong province, China and migrated to Mauritius shortly after birth with her parents. She had six siblings, Ginette (Daniel), Christiane (Henri), John (Nicole), Cyril (Margaret), Marie Claire (Henri) and Marie Josée (Jean Pierre).

She married Mario on July 4, 1958 in Mauritius. They had 6 children, Bernadette (Paul), Daisy (Patrice), James (Marie-Merle), Noel (Stella) and Burty (Veronique) and Mary-Jane (Michael).

After Mario's death in 1984, Eileen took great care of her children, then spoiled her grand-children. Popo and mama, Eileen was passionate about the Word of God, had unrivaled cooking skills, was gentle, humble, modest, caring, serving, kind, patient and loving. She set an exemplary perseverance in everything she did while seeking God's help; and also modeled the attitude of "do your best and leave the rest to God".

Eileen will fondly be remembered by her grandchildren:  Jason, Judith, Kevin, Jonah, Sharon, Steven, Jessica, Nathan and Lukas; and great-grand son, Mathias. We will all miss Popo big time.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged …. For the battle is not yours, but God’s." 2 Chronicles 20:15
