Ovsey MarkOVSEY, Mark - Passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020.

Mark as born in Vilnius, Lithuania on Dec. 11, 1948. At the age of 31, he moved to the Greater Toronto Area via Italy with his wife and his first son.

Mark was a spirited man, full of humour, wit and ambition, and was motivated by a love for his family and the desire to provide his wife and children with a better life.

But he also loved his friends dearly and spent countless evenings breaking bread with them and discussing world affairs.

As a Soviet emigre whose travel was limited prior to his arrival in Canada, Mark had an insatiable passion for seeing the world. He believed strongly in the value of experiencing other cultures and seeing firsthand all the world had to offer.

He looked for every opportunity to have dinners out with his growing family and drew incredible joy from interacting with his grandchildren.

He will be remembered fondly as a man of great intelligence, generosity and a willingness to lend a helping hand.

Mark leaves behind wife, Ludmila, children, Daniel, David and Jeffrey and grandchildren, Ava, Elijah, Nathan and Sara.

A service will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 2020

Memorial Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
