Katzman MurrayKATZMAN, Murray - It is with great sadness that we part with our beloved father Murray Katzman who passed peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the age of 87.

Our father was a proud man of excellent character.

His strong work ethic spanned throughout his entire life, finally ending his career at the age of 86.

He was well travelled, cared greatly about global politics and above all else, displayed a humble devotion to our family.

His personality was infectious and he was the one person you never wanted to leave the party. He danced like Fred Astaire and lived every minute with every person to the fullest.

He was a prize husband to our late mother Anita and a doting father to Wendy Melvin (Ron Melvin) and Robert Katzman (Judy Brough).

His love for his three grandchildren Benjamin, Beth and Naomi was endless.

His heart melted for his great granddaughter Hannah.

We are eternally grateful for the wonderful years he enjoyed with his companion Elizabeth Maged. They travelled the world and enjoyed many adventures during the last 8 years.

We must recognize the incredible team at Amica Steeles for welcoming Murray into their family. He thrived under their care. The emergency team at North York General Hospital must be recognized. Under Covid conditions, the doctors, nurses and students went above and beyond to provide our father with respect, patience and dignity in his final hours of need.

His spirit is eternal and will be forever present in our hearts.

A Family service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.

Memorial donations may be made to The Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Ryerson University.
