Cafiso GiovanniCAFISO, Giovanni - With gratitude in our hearts, we announce the death of Giovanni who passed away on October 4, 2020.

He leaves behind his wife and lifelong companion Concettina, his childhood friend, with whom he shared almost 70 years of marriage, his son Joseph, daughter Jenny, daughter in law Betty, son in law Colin, grandchildren Conor and Jordan and their partners Beatriz and Shannon.

The second of eight children, he will be missed by his surviving siblings, his siblings spouses and their children both in Italy and in Canada.

He lived a full life straddled between his beloved Ragusa in Italy and Toronto in Canada, with many good holidays spent with friends in Florida. He took courageous decisions to achieve his life goals and faced change with determination to the end.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. His memory will last in our hearts forever.

Arrangements with Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough. The funeral mass will take place at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, 1737 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough on October 8th at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to Canadian Jesuits International at https://www.canadianjesuitsinternational.ca/fundraising/donate-online/ Or to the Canadian Centre for Refugee and Immigrant Health Care https://www.healthequity.ca/ or to a charity of your choice.

Due to the COVID pandemic, attendance to the Church service and to the cemetery will be limited, and only by previous arrangement with the family on specifically agreed times. Your patience and understanding is sincerely appreciated. Face masks are to be worn and physical distancing is required.

The family appreciates your love and support expressed in so many other ways.
