BROWN, Barry Jerome - It is with great sadness that friends and family of Barry Brown announce his passing on November 9, 2020.
Barry Jerome Brown was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 17, 1954.
Son of Delores (Dolly) and William (Bill) Brown (deceased).
Barry is survived by his second wife Isabel, his mother Dolly and younger brother Alan.
Even with a heart condition, Barry was full of energy and enjoyed daily walks with his beloved cats Feliz and Esperanza. He had a great sense of humour, loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a great storyteller and was eager to entertain anyone who cared to listen. Barry was a voracious reader and loved music, poetry, film, and art. He was never shy to ask for directions and had a child-like sense of adventure and compassion. Barry was a good soul who would engage any stranger in a friendly conversation. In his own words, he was “a brilliant poet with a messy room”.
He will surely be missed, but will live forever in the heart and memories of the people who knew him and loved him.
“I’ve loved, I laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way”
My Way
Songwriters: Claude Francois / Gilles Thibaut / Jacques Revaux / Paul Anka
Barry’s family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Morley Bedford Funeral Services for their help and support during this time of sorrow. Their professionalism and compassion have made it a bit easier to deal with this loss.
