De Luca MariannaDE LUCA, Marianna - (1936 - 2020) - Marianna De Luca passed peacefully, with family by her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease on December 2nd, 2020, at Norfinch Care Community Nursing Home in North York.

She is survived by her children Antonella Stinson (Matthew Stinson), Daniela Kwiatkowski (Paul Kwiatkowski), and Domenico De Luca (Sandra Fuller), her grandchildren Nicholas, Michael and James Kwiatkowski and Daniel Stinson, and her sister Giulia Pelaccia.

Marianna De Luca has gone to rest with her loving husband Valentino De Luca, her brother-in-law Gabriele De Luca and her parents Domenico and Ernestina De Luca.

Marianna will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family and loved every moment she spent with them. She will be remembered for her devotion to her faith, her wonderful spirit and energy, her remarkable generosity and kindness and her mastery of Abruzzese cuisine which delighted all of those who were lucky enough to taste her delicious homemade pasta.

Marianna will also be remembered for her great sense of humour, that laugh that we all delighted in hearing and those glorious moments when she and Valentino would spin around the dance floor with grace and elegance at one wedding after another all those years ago.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Norfinch Care Community Nursing Home, in particular, the caring staff of Sunshine Valley, who made Marianna’s time there a welcoming and comfortable one. We will especially never forget the kindness the staff showed to us during Marianna’s final moments.

Arrangements entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home, Thornhill. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held by the family but you are welcome to join them virtually through a livestreaming of the funeral mass by clicking the following link: http://ipickart.ca/stream/DeLuca/

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Marianna’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
