WEISBROD, Elly - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elly Weisbrod, who passed away peacefully at home on December 2nd, 2020 at the age of 63 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her parents Peter and Margaret Henstra. Loving partner to Dave MacFarlane. Beloved mother to Michele Dayan, John Weisbrod (Lynanne) and Lisa Thorn (Brad). Cherished grandmother to Cooper, Johnny, Zachary and Aimee.
Loving sister to Sid Henstra (Louise), Tina Cornelisse (Adrian), Anne Rorye (late John) and the late Robert Henstra. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephew and their families and her close friends.
We would also like to thank Dr. Jeu and the cancer care team at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Elly had a beautiful smile that could always light up any room and she always stayed so positive even during tough times. She loved those around her with all her heart and was deeply loved by everyone.
Elly will be missed dearly by her family and friends but we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now at peace. She will live on in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Summer of 2021. Arrangements with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough chapel.
