Bender IsobelBENDER, Isobel Frances (Hearn) - Isobel Bender passed away on November 28, 2020,  at the age of 93 in Toronto, Ontario.

Isobel was a very independent woman, she was devoted to her parents and family. She worked at the Bank of Montreal for all of her career to support and raise her only son, David.

She was born and raised in Toronto, where she remained until her passing. She loved the City and would often take long walks to Yorkdale Shopping Centre and back to her home.

She remained active after her retirement, cared for her parents in Aurora and spent much quality time with her elderly sister Margaret, as well as volunteering at St. Hilda's Senior home. Isobel was able to travel coast to coast in Canada, as well as spending some time in Florida.

Beloved Mother to her son David Bender (Shelly), loving sister to Elizabeth Milner (Peter). Remembered by her nephew Christopher Milner (Mary-Anne) and niece Adrienne Mumford (Dan) as well as her great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Lily Hearn of Aurora, sister to Agnes Willis of Aurora and Margaret Hay of Willowdale, brother to George Hearn of Vancouver.

Arrangements entrusted with Thompson funeral home, Aurora. In light of the current pandemic there will be no formal funeral service, Isobel will be laid to rest beside her parents in the Aurora Cemetery.

The Family wishes to send special thanks to the CCAC and the PSW’s who supported us and provided extensive care and compassion to Isobel.
