MCNAB, Paul Ian Ross   - 1946 - 2020  It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce a very dear soul has left us.

Paul bravely fought off cancer numerous times and was winning his last bout when he left us.

Years of fighting cancer, however, had left him with a damaged heart.

On November 20th, he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest.

It was incredibly painful to lose a remarkably strong and resilient loved one in such a sudden way.

Paul was a beautiful man and dearest husband to his wife Mary for 48 years, and a proud and loving father to Scott (Nicole) and Andrew (Katherine).

He provided guidance and support for his brother Peter, and was much loved and respected by his brother in law John (Min). Paul was predeceased by his father Jack and his mother Cecilia.

Paul was a huge sports fan. Hockey, car racing, baseball and golf. He always made sure his brother and children had access to playing, even if he had to go without.

Paul will be greatly missed by his dear friends the Shears, Sidney (2017), his wife Karen and sons Stephen and Kevin with whom he vacationed in Florida over the last 40 years.

As well as his high school friend Rick Ulias and family. Both of whom are closer to family than friends, and whose support over the last decades should not go unmentioned.

We also want to share Paul's gratitude for the loving care he received from Dr. Mathilda Ng of Mackenzie Health over the last 24 years and his cardiologist, Dr. George Vertes. Without them, we would have lost him long ago.

The loss of Paul will be greatly felt by anyone that had the good fortune to meet him.

His guiding ways, wit, generosity, laugh, and his genuine eagerness to help people are just some of the things that made him unforgettable.

If you met him once, he was your friend for life.
