PAPACONSTANTINOU, Maria (Alexopoulos) - Passed away peacefully with the love of her family and under the care of the wonderful staff at the Hellenic Home for the Aged and Mount Sinai Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 90.
Born March 30, 1930 in Lefkasion, Kalavriton, Greece.
Beloved wife to Loucas, and loving mother to Sophie and (John) Zafiropoulos, George and (Helen) Papaconstantinou, Themia and the late (Tom) Theodoropoulos, Sam and (Stella) Papaconstantinou, and Bill and (Kathy) Papaconstantinou.
Yiayia will forever be remembered and worshipped by her 17 adored grandchildren and her 11 great grandchildren.
Our mother always believed and lived her faith by her actions, and that was to support and serve those most in need.
In lieu of flowers and in keeping with the spirit and wishes of our mother, donations can be submitted to the Hellenic Home for the Aged and/or Hellenic Hope Center for Persons with Special Needs in her honour.
Due to current Toronto Public Health restrictions, the Viewing and the Funeral are limited to immediate family only. We look forward to celebrating Maria’s life at a later date with all her family and friends.
