MANNING, Maria (nee KENNEDY) - It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Manning announces her passing, on Monday, December 21, 2020, at the age of 89, in the city of Brampton, Ontario.
Maria will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Marielle (David) and her grandson Trevor Bell.
Maria will be sorely missed by her brother James Kennedy (Jacqueline) and her niece Jacqueline Tinoco (Jaime).
Maria was predeceased by her son James Manning. Born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, on June 25, 1931, daughter to James and Mary (nee Bigney) Kennedy, Maria trained and worked as a Nursing Assistant in Nova Scotia.
She later moved to first Pierrefonds, Quebec and then Toronto, Ontario, where she worked as a claims adjuster for OHIP.
Fondly remembered for her wit and sense of fun, Maria was an avid gardener, chef, bridge player and lifelong reader. She was a jazz enthusiast and loved to dance.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Maple Grove Community Care in Brampton, Ontario, for their years of caring and support.
At Maria's request, there will be no funeral service.
