Stewart FloraSTEWART, Florezel Imogene - On February 10, 2021 she took her last breath and gave it over to the lord.

She was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on June 28th, 1948 to the parents of Penelphe and Algon George Wilson.

On July 20th, 1970 she immigrated to Canada and married the love of her life, Clifton Roy Stewart on November 24th, 1973.

She became a Canadian Citizen on August 27th, 1984.

She is survived by her three sisters, Hortense, Lorretta, Patricia and her brother Winston.

She will be missed dearly by her children Claudia, Christopher, Randy, and Kiamesha as well as her 10 grand children and 5 great grand children.

Florezel achieved her Health Care Aide diploma from Career Canada College in 1995 and in 2003 she also achieved her certificate as Personal Support Worker (PSW) from Durham Business and Computer College (Health Care Division).

She excelled in this area of study according to her director and in his opinion she exceeded his own expectations. After graduating from college she successfully gained employment with Independent Living and a variety other nursing agencies.

Her passion was caring for the sick in her community while her more personal passion was for writing, singing, and recording her own music. In October of 2019 she was diagnosed with lung cancer that led to long and complicated journey.

She refused to surrender to the challenges of this illness that threatened to take away her well being. Rest in Peace Florezel.
