Sant MarySANT, Mary   - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Sant (née Bonnici), on February 9, 2021, at the age of 91.

Mary was the devoted spouse of the late John Victor for 63 years, daughter of Joseph Bonnici and Jana Xrieha, sister of Teresa (deceased), Emanuel (deceased), Carmen Borg (John deceased), Josephine Schembri (Anthony), John (Lela), Joseph (deceased), and Paul (Mary), loving mother of Albert (Shelley), Joseph, Anthony (deceased), Mary Anne, John (Gabrielle), and Tracy (John).

She was the much-loved Nanna of Stacey, John, and Carrie; Christopher, Sarah, and Jenna; John David and Olivia; and Nathan, Luke, and Dylan, and great-grandmother to Ashton and Matteo; Aurora and Craig; Elliot and Logan; and Chloe, Oliver, and Hazel.

She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Mary and John immigrated to Canada from Malta in 1951 and built a beautiful life for their children.

We will never forget the lively parties she hosted with many family and friends which brought her, our father, and us much joy.

We will remember Mary's hospitality, generosity, and unwavering faith that provided her great strength in challenging times. She has left us to join her parents, siblings and her beloved husband and son who have been waiting for her to beat them in a game of Scrabble and share some tea and pastizzi.

We wish to gratefully acknowledge the kindness extended to Mary by family and friends, and especially Bill and Freda Kantor for their unwavering friendship and support. We would also like to extend our many thanks to the staff of OSCR, Acclaim Health, LHIN, Marie from Home Instead and Brenda, her friendly volunteer who provided much companionship.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at the visitation which will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, Oakville, will be by appointment only. A private family funeral will take place. Following the service a link will be made available for viewing.

For those who wish, donations in Mary's memory to Canadian Food for Children or Chalice would be appreciated.
