van den Driesen Ericvan den DRIESEN, Eric Leonard - (October 8, 1924 - February 15, 2021) - It is with great sadness, but with assurance of a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Len van den Driesen.

He was predeceased by his first wife Mary, and is survived by his wife Eduarda.

He will be missed by his only daughter, Dianna (David), his granddaughters, who lovingly called him “Danda”, Denise (Todd) and Jennifer. Great-Grandfather to Maddie, Abby, Owen and Andrew.

He also will be missed by Eduarda’s children Acurcio, Rosa (Peter), Isabel and their children, Julie, Amy, Jason, Danielle (and daughter Rachel), Anne-Marie, and Katelin.

He was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, lived in London, England, Montreal, Quebec and resided in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He was a proud pilot, flying with the Royal Air Force in World War II and then training for Air Lanka before pursuing a position flying the L1011 with Air Canada which relocated him and his family to Canada.

He will be missed by friends and extended family across Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

He travelled the world and was always surrounded by love. We will miss you and are grateful for the impact you had in our lives.

Due to current circumstances private family services will be held, followed by cremation. Len’s ashes will be interred at Beechwood Cemetery in Vaughan in the Veterans' Section.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel."
