Roy DollyROY, Dolly (nee Desai) - Dolly Roy passed away peacefully in her sleep, at 8.15 am on April 20, 2021, at Scarborough General Hospital, Toronto in her 94th year.

Beloved daughter of the Late Major (Dr.) Umedram Lalbhai Desai of Vyara, Gujarat and Gunobati Mitter of Calcutta; predeceased by her loving sisters Kamala Bata (Somnath), Ramola Islam (Said), Sarla, brothers Victor and Rajender Desai and niece Naheed Akbar. Wife of late Maxwell C. Roy (Montreal).

She will be dearly missed by her sons, Sunil Kumar [Bob] Roy (late Ruvinee); Henry (Purificacion), and Derrick Philip Roy ; her grandchildren, Brandon Roy (Tracey), Omar Roy (Sarah), Tara Roy, Philip Lesperance; and by her great granddaughter, 8 month old Sophie.

She will be fondly remembered by her nieces Nasreen Islam (Najmul) and Jasmin Smith (Peter), grand nieces and nephews Zara, Seher, Samir and Alexi.

Her many friends and admirers will always remember her as a kind hearted, generous, loving soul.

Deepest thanks to the caring staff of Leisure World Scarborough and medical staff at Scarborough General Hospital Palliative Unit. Family members were unable to visit her in her last moments because of COVID restrictions.

Her cremation services will be held on Webcast on Friday, April 30th at 10 am, via the website of Giffen–Mack Funeral Home, Scarborough.

She will be laid to final rest with her mother and sister at Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa, when conditions permit for family to be together.
