CHEATLE, Susan Carol - Passed peacefully holding her son’s hand on May 11, 2021 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a long and brave struggle with COPD.
She will remain the loved mother of Mark Hudson (Rachel Fabugais), cherished nana of Max and Maya and loved daughter of the late George Cheatle and the late May Cheatle (nee Munro). Susan is survived by her former husband and father of her son, Matthew Hudson.
Susan will be remembered for her keen mind, sharp wit and willingness to sing any Leonard Cohen song.
A Peterborough girl at heart, Susan built a successful career with the Toronto District School Board thriving in Special Education and becoming a Vice Principal, a position she loved. In our memories, as in our lives, Susan contains multitudes.
The family is grateful to Waterford Retirement home and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital 6C Pod 300 staff for the care and compassion shown to Susan during her final days.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will delay the wake until we can all gather safely.
