MONTEKIO, Eli - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eli Montekio on May 23, 2021 at the age of 95.
Born in Salonica, Greece in 1925 to the late Abraham and Bella Montekio, predeceased by sisters Regina, Celia, Ida and brothers Nathan and Joseph (Pepo).
As a Holocaust survivor Eli had a rough start in life, but was able to survive and flourish in England and then Canada after liberation from Auschwitz.
Beloved husband of the late Sophia Montekio, loving father and father-in-law of Alan and Susan, Robert and Sandra, cherished Papu of Elian and Gemma and Jordan and Melanie.
Our memories of him will always be a blessing
