Hientzsch WolfgangHIENTZSCH, Wolfgang - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wolfgang Hientzsch at William Osler Health Centre – Etobicoke General on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the age of 93.

Predeceased by his wife of 25 years and mother of his daughters Barbara 'Betty" Hientzsch (nee Haufle).

Beloved father of Monica (Steven), Barbara (Ken), Marian (Glenn) and Sonja (Jack). Cherished grandfather to Michael, Andrew, Christopher, Alexa, Nicholas and Ryan and dear brother to Peter (Robin). Loving spouse to Katherine Petelka for over 30 years.

Sadly missed by many family and friends; especially Kathy and Deborah (Gerry).

Wolfgang was a hardworking and dedicated person who enjoyed retirement through many avenues. He could always be found around the house tinkering with things, it always brought a smile to his face.

Along with Katherine he loved to travel to different places which included their winter home in Florida and summer trips to the cottage in Parry Sound. He always welcomed a challenging crossword puzzle, good game of cards or yelling out the “questions” on his favourite game show "Jeopardy!"

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted with Ridley funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either William Osler Health Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
