Rundle FlorenceRUNDLE, Florence Etta Bell - (April 5, 1916 - July 23, 2021) -

Our feisty little “NANA”- Florence Etta Bell Rundle was born April 5, 1916 in Erin, Ontario along with her younger sister Catherine (Kate) Helen Bell Clarkson.

They moved to Toronto (West End) when she was approximately 6 years old. She eventually attended college and became a Dietician.

In 1949 she married her skiing buddy Rex Owen Andrew Rundle and had one son Malcolm Andrew Bell Rundle in 1952. When Malcolm was 6 years old they began attending Glebemount Gospel Hall. It was there that Florence accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour and was baptized in 1962.

When Glebemount Gospel Hall closed, she became a member of Woodbine Baptist Church and served with dedication for 34 years until she started attending Bethany Baptist Church. She continued to support many Christian organizations right up until her death.

Although Rex passed away in 2004, she managed to stay in her East York bungalow for another 11 years until she was 100 years old with the help of her son Malcolm and a cherished neighbour Adolph. She enjoyed playing her piano and sitting on her swing in the backyard.

At a Christmas gathering in 2015 she decided she did not want to go home and moved in with her son and daughter-in-law on Lake Scugog where she stayed for 3 years. Her remaining years to age 105 were spent at Extendicare Lindsay, Ontario where she received excellent care in a difficult time (pandemic).

Florence will be missed by her son Malcolm Andrew Bell Rundle, her daughter-in-law Glenda (Loughead) Rundle, her beloved grandchildren Tristan (Jami), Tara (Thomas), and Brittany (David) and 4 great-grandchildren Audrey, Ava, Ella, and Sophia.

At Florence’s request a service will not be held. A celebration of life dinner with immediate family will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Trull funeral home.
