Pearson JoycePEARSON, Joyce Wilhemine - Peacefully at home, Monday, September 6th, 2021 at the age of 90, with her husband of 63 years Kenneth James Pearson by her side.

She leaves behind her children, David (Cherylyn), Elaine (Danny), Mark (Cathy), and John (Tammy). Proud and devoted grandmother of Brittany, Amy, Tyler, Spencer, Lexie, Courtney, Brock, Brooke and Cooper.

Joyce will also be missed by her sisters Mary (late Keith) and Anne (late Paul) and her brothers Glenn (Audrey) and Hugh Bryce (Shareen). Predeceased by her parents Hugh John & Isabel Montgomery and her brother Eric Montgomery.

Joyce was born and raised in Carp, Ontario and fiercely proud of her history and time spent on the farm. She graduated from the Ottawa Civic Hospital School of Nursing in 1953, later attending the University of Western Ontario earning her diploma in Nursing Education in 1957. After a long and successful career and as the Director of Medical/Surgical Services she retired from Scarborough Centenary Hospital in 1992.

She lived her most meaningful years in Seven Oaks raising her family and contributing to her community and church where many lasting friendships were made. Joyce lived a full life playing tennis, skiing, and sewing and quilting. She was an avid reader and master Scrabble player, and always looked forward to the next family vacation in Emerald Isle!

She will be remembered for her strength and endurance, her need to help others, and her quiet grace.

A genuine heartfelt thank you to her caregivers Agnes, Isabel, Jasmine, Patricia and Gigie who helped Joyce stay in the comfort of her own home as she had always wanted.

She will be missed by all, but her memory will live on.
