BURNS, Robert Edward Boak - It is with sadness that we share the news of our father's passing, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Village of Erin Meadows, at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of the late Mildred (nee Melenchuk) for 59 years.
Loving father of Kenneth (Beth) of New Brunswick, and Karen (Gary) of Ontario. Cherished Grampa of Scott (Laura), Brian (Molly), Kylee, and Kristen.
Much adored Great-Grampa of Elle. Bob enjoyed working over thirty years in several positions with the provincial government. Bob (Boak) started curling at the age of 16 at the Welland Curling Club.
He continued on his love of curling with Milly where they shared over thirty years of curling at the Boulevard Club in Toronto.
Bob was very active in the Boy Scouts of Canada, where he was a Boy Scout leader for ten years.
Bob will be best remembered for his love of the cottage, with almost 40 years on the Severn River. "Bobbo" (...he was well known for being called Bobbo at the cottage) spent every summer there enjoying his family and grandchildren, along with many friends.
Bob was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed.
We hope to celebrate Dad's life with family and friends at a later date.
