ARCHBOLD, Bernice (SANDERSON) - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Bernice Archbold who passed away at the age of 91 on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Mississauga Trillium Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer.
Bernice was the loving wife of Norman Archbold for 66 years.
Norman predeceased Bernice and died in September 2016.
Bernice is survived by her son, Geophrey, her daughter, Anne, and their spouses Walli and Paul. Bernice will also be missed by her grandchildren: Laura, Stephen (and Ashley), Nikki (and Mike), Alex, Stewart, and her great-grandson, Ethan.
Bernice was a friendly and intelligent woman with artistic talent and the ability to make everyone feel welcome when they were in her company.
Bernice was born in Saskatoon and, at a young age moved, to Toronto where she met and married Norman. Together they raised their family and along with third mate Sandy (pet dog) travelled the waterways of the Bay of Quinte, Eastern Seaboard and the Caribbean.
Bernice's warmth and wise advice will be greatly missed by her family and friends and she will always be fondly remembered.
Bernice's passing will be observed privately by her family, but those wishing to honour her can make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
