Puodziukas EdwardPUODZIUKAS, Dr. Liudas Edward   - April 15, 1947 – January 4, 2022

Dr. Liudas Edward Puodziukas was born in 1947, in Germany to Lithuanian parents.

Raised in Toronto, he attended St. Michael's College and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in medicine in May of 1971.

His medical career spanned 50 years.

He interned at St. Michael's Hospital, later practised as a GP at Commerce Court Medical Centre, and recently retired from his practice in Durham Region in May, 2021.

Dr. Ed was highly regarded in the medical profession and revered by his patients for his expert knowledge, care and compassion.

His generosity and dedication to helping others will always be fondly remembered.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and many realtives in the US, UK and Lithuania.

Predeceased by his father Julius Puodziukas, mother Elzbieta (Valiulyte) Puodziukas, and brother Dr. Julius Puodziukas.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Nicole, and children Alexander (My-Tu), Julia (Tomas).

He was the adored Opa to Augustus, Tilia, Gabriel and Theodorus. Cherished brother to sisters Della (George), Sally (Chris). Dear brother-in-law of Deena Chitovas, Gregory Chitovas (Nora), Jill Chitovas, Ann McAllister (Richard).

Beloved Dede Edis to nieces and nephews, Paul, Audra, Alexandra (Chris), Michael, Michael, Victoria (Peter) and great-uncle to Tomas, Matthew, Lukas and Emily. Dear Uncle Edward to Angeline, Melissa, Nikko and Skye.

Visitation will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Church of the Resurrection, 1 Resurrection Rd., Etobicoke. Due to the restrictions surrounding Covid, the service at 11:00 a.m. is by invitation only. Those wishing to attend the visitation are kindly asked to register with Turner & Porter Funeral Home.

Donations in honour of his memory may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or Dorothy Ley Hospice.
