BRUCHOVSKY, Alexander "Sandy" - February 10, 1939 - January 12, 2022
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Alexander 'Sandy' Bruchovsky in Chilliwack, BC, on January 12, 2022, due to heart failure.
He is survived by his niece, Kira; his nephew, John; many cousins and close friends.
Sandy was predeceased by his brother, Nicholas; and his sister, Olga. Born in Toronto, Ontario, 'Sandy', 'Bru,' or 'The Big S', was an honour roll student at both Howard School and Humberside Collegiate Institute.
A 1952 "Progress Report" from Howard points out, "Sandy is a thinker and is doing well!" And indeed, Sandy sure did!
After graduating in 1961, Sandy worked for the Financial Post and later the Canadian Bankers Association.
In the late 1990s, Sandy retired, moving out west, first to Revelstoke, BC, then to Chilliwack, BC, where he could especially enjoy all the hiking and walking the Pacific Northwest could provide.
Sandy never complained, was always upbeat, had a lovely sense of humour and an infectious smile.
Not even some health issues later in life could slow him down.
In honouring Sandy's wishes there will be no service.
