MARTIN, Luciano - February 11, 1935 - July 1, 2022
Emigrated from Cimpello, Friuli, Italy, on March 25, 1952 - a new life of opportunity with brothers, Giovannin and Lino and sister, Salute Maria; high school, university, MA in Geophysical Engineering; founding his consulting company CASE (the beginning of the acronyms); marriage of a lifetime to his sweetheart Milvia; settling in his beloved home on the ravine in Rexdale.
Children, Linda (Peter) and Eric (Brigitte), so very loved and adored; lifelong involvement in local issues, always acting passionately to make the community better for all (whether through tennis or wetland conservation) - continuation of the acronyms: AGTC, ARCH, WET; doting over his grandchildren, Melissa (Suhil), Samantha-Rose (Cole), Nico, Natalia (who will miss him so much!); visits to Cape Cod, walks in the woods back home, always with binoculars, feeding and watching birds in his backyard paradise.
A full life of purpose and love for family, nature, and community.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston, on Monday, from 6-9 p.m. A Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow.
