SCHAEFER, Erna (née MÜLLER) - Erna, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 19, 2023, in Vancouver, Canada.
Erna was predeceased by her husband, Fred; she is survived by Rita Lanch, her sister, in Bracebridge, ON; and her children, Kurt Hefti; his wife, Baby, in Hong Kong; and their three children, Romain in Lausanne, Switzerland, Kendra in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Yannick in Dubai, UAE; Jane Lewis and her sons, Ryan and Adam in Bracebridge, ON, Brandon and Derek Penny, sons of Sylvia, in Richmond Hill, ON.
Peter Bäschlin, husband of Beatrice in Zürich, Switzerland; Ursula Pfeiffer-Müller and children in Näfels, Switzerland; and all extended family members are deeply saddened to announce the death of their sister, aunt and great-aunt.
The Funeral Mass will take place on June 15, at 10 a.m., at St. Augustine's Parish, 2028 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC.
All of Erna's friends are welcome to join the family for the funeral and memorial.
In lieu of flowers, we welcome any donations in Erna's name to the B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation or the SPCA.
