With incredible heartbreak, we announce the sudden passing of Kelly James Lee.
Born in Alberta, Kelly moved to Toronto in 1989. In 1995, he met Mabel and they were inseparable from that day forward, marrying in 1999.
Kelly loved to make others laugh.
His goal was to make Mabel laugh every day. He became a paramedic in 2005 and worked in the film industry as a set medic.
But then life threw many serious illnesses at him disabling him from working at the calling he had trained so hard for. He died at the age of 57.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Mabel; his stepfather, Val; his sister, Jodi; and other extended family around the world.
A celebration to share stories, laugh and raise a pint to Kelly will be held at The Frog (firkinpubs.com/thefrogandfirkin) on Saturday, January 13, 2024, starting at 5:30 p.m. This pub was where Kelly met his beloved Mabes for the first time. The address is 4854 Yonge Street in North York.
