Miller JackMILLER, Jack Eernest   -

December 29, 1924 – December 25, 2023

(WW ll Veteran, retired employee Toronto Hydro)

It is with sadness and yet with gratitude that we announce Jack's peaceful passing at Sunnybrook Veteran's Centre on December 25, 2023.

Jack was just shy of his 99th birthday.

During WWII , he was with the 429 Leeming Yorkshire squadron in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer.

He spent many hours over the years during his retirement visiting with his fellow crew members and airmen.

He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (Strachan). Dear father of Brian (Elaine), John (Ina) and grandfather to Evan (Ana), Andrew (Emily), Jessica (Josh), and his three great- grandchildren, Caden, Luke and Connor. Loving brother-in-law of Sandy Strachan. He was predeceased by his siblings, Russell, Roy, Vera, and Harold.

Jack will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and many friends from over the years.

Thank you to the wonderful team in the LGSE unit at Sunnybrook for their excellent care in keeping with Jack's wishes and for their compassion.

A private family service has been held. Donations can be made in Jack's memory to the Alzheimer Society or Sunnybrook K-Wing.
