KOVAL, Gregory Koval - Passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024.
Greg was a social worker and psychotherapist who helped thousands of individuals, couples and families in a number of communities during a wide-ranging 50-year career.
Many described him as someone who 'helped me turn my life around' with his big heart and profound, direct style.
Greg also helped launch a new generation of therapists by supervising grad students.
Greg was larger than life, a generous, passionate person and master storyteller some called 'the most interesting man in the world.'
He was also a member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders and a spirited leader, teacher, negotiator and community worker who challenged the status quo.
Greg leaves behind Anna, his loving wife of 46 years; his brother and sister-in-law, nephews and a niece, their spouses and children, dear friends and colleagues.
For anyone who would like to honour Greg's legacy, please consider a Ukranian charity supporting families, such as the Dzherelo Children's Rehabilitation Center andthe Konvalia Project.
