Mitchell KennethMITCHELL, Kenneth Alexander  -

November 25, 1974 - February 24, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth Alexander Mitchell, beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son, and dear friend, at his home in Studio City, California.

Born in North York to Diane and David Mitchell, Ken was widely known as an actor in many films and tv shows.

He's portrayed an Olympic hockey hopeful, an apocalypse survivor, an astronaut, a superhero's dad, and four unique Star Trek characters.

But to those close to him he was known as a hope seeker, daydreamer, beach walker, landscape designer, canoe paddler, and the keeper of countless enduring friendships. Ken was diligent and hardworking in everything he did, but as a father these traits found their fullest expression.

For five and a half years Ken faced a series of awful challenges from ALS, yet managed to rise above each one with grace and commitment to living a full and joyous life in each moment and the knowledge that we never walk alone. Ken is forever grateful for the endless support he received along this journey, especially from his extraordinary wife, family, and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Susan; their children, Lilah and Kallum; his parents, Diane and David; brother, Sean (Norah); in-laws, Sally and Bill Pratt; sister-in-law, Beth (Ajay); nieces and nephews, Kiran, Jyoti, Avery, and Eliza;...and cats, Chai and Cinna.

Ken requests that any gifts be directed towards ALS research or in support of his children.
