SKEAT, Arthur  - Passed away peacefully, in Toronto on March 7, 2024, in his 85th year.

Predeceased by his father, Robert Walter Skeat; and his mother, Carmen Elise Skeat.

Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Romie Skeat and her extended family; his brother, Christopher Skeat; and his children, Elizabeth "Beth" Skeat and Robert "Bob" Skeat and his wife, Courtenay Skeat.

Art was also an adoring grandfather to Sarah and Lauren Skeat. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, always ensuring that family came first. Arthur was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, in 1939.

His dedication to learning led him to complete his civil engineering degree at the University of New Brunswick, followed by an MBA at McGill University and finally, his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Led by unwavering integrity and his passion for finance, Art worked in Toronto as an Investment Counsellor for over 40 years.

Highly respected by friends, colleagues and clients alike, Art had a positive influence on everyone around him. An avid world traveller, golfer and sailor, Art lived life to the fullest with dignity and grace. His love for the outdoors led him to spend his downtime at his cottage in Prince Edward County whenever possible.

A private celebration of life will take place in Toronto. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to his wonderful caregivers, and the tremendous staff at Scarlett Heights Retirement Home and Humber River Hospital.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Humber River Hospital, where he spent his final days.
