MacDONALD, Duncan F.  - WWII Veteran Passed peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming on Saturday, December 23, 2017.

Duncan of Peterborough, Guelph and Toronto in his 95th year.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Thomson) for 72 years. Loving father of John of Guelph, David (Joan) of Omemee.

Dear grandad of Christopher of Vancouver (Krista Seller) and Katherine (Paolo Catalano) of Toronto. Great-grandfather of Mikaela and Lexi. Son of the late Manley MacDonald and Beverley (nee Lambe).

Brother of the late Sarah (Sally) MacDonald. Duncan served in the Armed Forces during WWII with the Artillery, the United Nations in India and Pakistan (1957) and with the 25th (Toronto) Service Battalion in the Canadian Army Militia.

He worked as a Mechanical Engineer where he designed switch-gear in the electrical industry.

Duncan was an avid dog lover and made a home for many pets over the years.

Duncan and Barbara travelled extensively, as well as enjoying time at their cottage on Six Mile Lake.

In memory of Duncan, donations may be made to the Guelph Humane Society. Private cremation.
