LAMBERT, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) (nee Young) - In her 95th year, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by love of family and warmth of friends on January 24, 2018.
Much loved mother to Anne and Alan (Shelley) and loving grandmother to Sidney, Evan and Nathan.
Predeceased by her loving husband Tom and daughter Alison. Dear sister to Elinor Hamilton and sister-in-law to June Lambert. Predeceased by brother John Young and sisters Marjory Downing and Nancy Rickett.
Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a longterm faithful member of Willowdale Emmanuel United Church, a 76 year cottager in Fenelon Falls and a 66 year neighbour in North York. Many thanks to Rev. Sarah Chapman, Dr. Jackson and wonderful caregivers through her brief illness.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Willowdale Emmanuel United Church, 349 Kenneth Avenue North York. Private Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Willowdale Emmanuel United Church would be appreciated.
